This was a personal shoot focused on natural light, clean styling, and the contrast between soft forms and rugged coastal landscapes. It was also good practice in learning to direct poses, gaining confidence with the model, and making her comfortable in a shifting outdoor setting. I avoided heavy direction and post-processing to let the subject’s presence carry the frame.
Wardrobe choices moved across a tight palette—crimson, rust, and off-white—to hold contrast against both water and stone. Textures were key: stretch fabric, loose knits, and bare skin interacting with sand and wind. I shot handheld throughout, using available light only, working with the hard shadows thrown by cliff edges and open sky.
Framing stayed tight and vertical for intimacy, with wider compositions used to incorporate the strong linear elements of the cliffside road structure. The result is a stripped-back editorial series built around presence, tone, and atmosphere. It’s now part of my portfolio as a standalone visual study in light, environment, and shape.
